THE JOURNEY · CREATION TO ETERNITY

Every beginning asks a question.

12 stages, from belief and existence to prayer, Quran reading, and daily life. Explore the sources and take your next step.

STAGE 1 OF 12 · FAITH & EXISTENCE

Before humanity

Read the sources. Reflect. Find a practical next step.

01 · THE CREATOR

Before humanity

Islam begins with belief in Allah: the one God, who depends on nothing. Allah is not part of the universe, and nothing is comparable to Him. The Qur’an describes Him as the First and the Last. This is a statement about God, not a dated event on a scientific timeline.

Read the foundation

Read Surah Al-Ikhlas alongside the passages cited here. Notice how the learning summary distinguishes belief about Allah from descriptions of created things.

Make room for questions

Use the glossary for unfamiliar terms and the questions section to explore further. You do not need to solve every question before beginning to learn.

A MOMENT TO REFLECT

We can be curious about the world while recognising the limits of what we know.

Timeline note: these chapters organise ideas for learning. Islamic sources do not establish a complete dated chronology for creation or all prophets.
